SORTER

Location: St. Cloud, MN

Schedule: M – F, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Hours may vary and overtime may be necessary.
This is an hourly position, eligible for overtime pay.

Position Summary

Our Sorting department is primarily responsible for the sorting of used electronic equipment by grade and value. A typical day in this department consists of meeting department goals for material sort, entering data into logs and spreadsheets via excel or word, forklift operating, working with other team members to meet goals and daily housekeeping to keep the work area in tip-top shape!

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed department daily production goals
  • Maintain a clean work area by performing various clean-up tasks
  • Ensure universal wastes are sorted and stored appropriately per company procedures
  • Assist with material inventory, as needed
  • Relieve other operations and complete necessary paperwork for proper documentation
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external customer needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular, predictable attendance & reliable transportation
  • Adhere to all safety practices and procedures
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Previous experience working in an industrial warehouse setting required
  • Minimum 1+ years recycling industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities
  • Ability to hit deadlines in a high energy fast paced environment
  • Must be a reliable team member and safety orientated
